The below article will outline the process for enrolling in the "Password Self Service" functionality and resetting a forgotten password.
Because enrolling in this service requires you to know your password, it's important to enroll before needing to reset your password. Once enrolled (see below), you will be notified 5 days prior to your password expiring.
PLEASE NOTE: This functionality is for forgotten passwords only. If your password is about to expire (and you know your existing password) it should be changed via the standard 'Click here to change your password' link on the login page (see below) and if your password has already expired you will be prompted to change it on login;
Enrolment
- Browse to https://reset.dolphinanywhere.com/authorization.do
- 'Sign In' section
- Enter your Dolphin username in the format company_XXX@dc.com (where XXX is your 3-character login)
- Enter your Dolphin password
- Login
- Select the 'Enrolment' tab
- Email Verification
- 'Next'
- Enter your email address
- Select 'Send Code'
- Enter the received verification code (sent to above address)
- Select 'Verify Code and Continue'
- Your enrolment is complete and you will be presented with the below screen
- You can also enable one of the additional Verification Methods (Google/Microsoft) from here if you wish
Resetting a Forgotten Password
Once you have enrolled as per the above instructions, you will be able to reset your password if forgotten, via the below method;
- Browse to https://reset.dolphinanywhere.com/authorization.do
- Select the 'Forgot your Password?' section
- Enter your Dolphin username in the format company_XXX@dc.com (where XXX is your 3-character login)
- Select 'Continue'
- Select your enrolled email address from the drop-down menu
- Enter the CAPTCHA verification code
- Click 'Continue'
- Enter the received verification code (sent to enrolled email address)
- Click 'Continue'
- Enter your new password
- A green tick will appear next to each password complexity requirement as it's met
- Select 'Reset Password'
