Introduction
Inputting data can be a very time consuming process, not to mention monotonous, especially when creating a large number of records containing very similar data. Fortunately, help is at hand with the Copy function within Dolphin, which enables users to create new records by copying an existing one, giving the new record a different name and amending the applicable data or settings to differentiate it from the original. Provided a user has the applicable permissions for data management, they will be able to take advantage of this functionality wherever they see a Copy button:
Please find below a list of areas where the Copy button is available.

Travel Folder
With the exception of Air segments, all item types within a travel folder allow the user to copy existing items. In addition to the Copy button, air tickets also have a Copy To All Pax button to create tickets for all passengers in a folder at the same time. Within the Itin Details tab of an air ticket there is also a Copy Air Itinerary button which will copy all air segment details into the ticket item:
In addition to copying items within folders, it is also possible to copy or move items from one folder to another in just a few steps:
- Ensure both the source folder & the target folder are open. All other folders must be closed.
- Expand the Travel Folder menu & select Copy Folder to open the Copy Folder dialog (see below)**
- Select the items you want to copy or move from the target folder by ticking the check boxes, or use the Select All button if you want all items to be actioned
- Select either the Copy or Move button, depending on the action you want to complete
-
- Copy: The selected items will be duplicated in the grid for the target folder
- Move: The selected items will disappear from the source folder grid & appear in the target folder grid
-
- Select Done to close the dialog. The actioned items will then be added to the Itinerary tab of the target folder
**The Copy folder dialog may display either the source folder or the target folder first- this just depends on the order in which the 2 folders were opened initially
