To further enhance Dolphin's support of GDPR regulations, the system now allows the selection of marketing preferences to be made mandatory and a default opt in/out value to be set, when a profile is saved.
Within Options > Branch Details > Cust/Vend tab, there are 3 check boxes relating to customer marketing preferences:
- Client Marketing Preferences Mandatory
- Company Marketing Preferences Mandatory
- Agency Marketing Preferences Mandatory
With these settings ticked, and no default value set in the dropdown, if you try to create or update a customer profile linked to the branch without setting the marketing preferences, the below warning message will display:
It is also possible to set the Default Marketing Preferences to Opt-in or Opt-out in the Cust/Vend tab of branch details:
New customer profiles will have the default option set for all marketing preferences & therefore can be saved without the warning message being displayed.
