Affected Areas: Folder - Pricing tab
Folder items - Price and Vend Pmt Summ tabs
Folder item Pricing dialog - Vendor Payment tab
Useful For: Users who want to see information about vendor payments - what is due and what has been paid.
Introduced In: 20.038
Feature ID: 162071
Summary
Various changes have been made in the travel folder to allow users to easily see vendor payable and vendor paid amounts, within folder items (air tickets, hotels, cars, etc.) and their underlying pricing lines.
This feature is particularly useful when a folder item has multiple pricings. Or when pricings have Buy or Commission VAT, as the vendor payment due amount is calculated as follows: Buy + Buy VAT - Commission VAT.
Previously the only way to get this information was to go into vendor payment reconciliation which most users cannot access. Or get a calculator out!
Example
This folder item has two pricings, both with Commission VAT:
Adult Cost pricing: Vendor payable amount = Buy + Buy VAT - Commission VAT = 800 - 40 = 760
Child Cost pricing: Vendor payable amount = Buy + Buy VAT - Commission VAT = 560 - 28 = 532
Total vendor payable amount for folder item = 760 + 532 = 1292
Viewing Vendor Payable Amounts at Folder Item Level
The Price tab has a new V Pay column which displays the vendor payable amount for each pricing:
The Vend Pmt Summ tab contains two new fields:
- Total Payable (B) - displays the total vendor payable amount for the folder item
- Total Paid (B) - displays the total of any reconciled payments for the folder item
The (B) indicates that the amounts are in branch currency.
Viewing Vendor Payable Amounts at Pricing Level
The pricing's Vendor Payment tab also contains the same two new fields that are found in the item's Vend Pmt Summ tab:
- Total Payable (B) - displays the total vendor payable amount for the pricing
- Total Paid (B) - displays the total of any reconciled payments for the pricing
The (B) indicates that the amounts are in branch currency.
Viewing Vendor Payable Amounts at Folder Level
The folder's Pricing tab also has a new V Pay column. This displays the folder item level vendor payable amount:
And the pricing level vendor payment amount, if the folder item is expanded out to display its underlying pricings:
